Automatic annotation and classification of terminology for the description of interruptions in audiovisual media content

In order to better understand the mechanisms involved in managing speaking turns and interruptions in audiovisual media content, an annotation was carried out using the Allies corpus. Each change of speaker was annotated in terms of terminology and type of speech (fluid, interruption, backchannel).

This presentation will explain the annotation protocol used and the results obtained. Work in progress on the automatic classification of terminality of speaker changes will also be presented.
