On Thursday 6 December, the international day to raise awareness of scientific and technical careers among young girls was held.
During the afternoon, a number of female students and professionals presented their career paths: their career plans at the age of 18 and, finally, the jobs they have today.
Marie Tahon (teacher and researcher in computer science), Sedra Alhallak and Rabbia Allagui (students in the M1 Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence course) spoke to students at the Lycée Touchard in partnership with the ‘Elles bougent’ association.
This is an opportunity to motivate young girls to take up careers in IT.
These professions generally offer good salaries, interesting working conditions and the opportunity to take on responsibility.
Finally, the secondary school girls were able to exchange views with the participants during round tables, asking questions about scientific careers and career guidance, dispelling doubts about their future and discussing the prejudices they face.
